Writing songs has been my gift for more than 40 years. The day it all changed was when one of my friends came to me and asked “My marriage is falling apart, and I can’t say what I want to say - can you help by putting it into song?”

I never had that sort of pressure - songwriting was always fun and a joy, but it never took on the pressure I felt on that day. We sat down and within 24 hours I had the song. The words, the melody and my friend took it and played it for his wife. Everything changed and they are still together today.
